We're back!

Finally after so long, the Newport Storytellers are getting back to planning events face to face but ... with a twist.

During the Covid restrictions and our shift to Zoom, we've made friends with storytellers across Australia and overseas. So as to keep these valued relationships alive, in the February session, we experimented with a hybrid Zoom/live gathering.

In our local Newport Community Hub, we lowered the smart screen, hooked up a lap top and two mobile phones and BINGO! It worked.

For 2022, with the exception of April, we have gatherings penciled in the calendar every 3rd Friday of the month to November. The April date falls on Good Friday.

Thanks to Adrian Newington for getting us up and running and to the Hub for making it so easy for us to access the building and practice.

Our next gathering is MARCH 18 - we're still to decide if we'll go hybrid again. We'll let everyone know the plan soon.

World Storytelling Day

MARCH 18 coincides with World Storytelling Day (March 20). The THEME is LOST and FOUND. So if you're planning on joining us, you might like to match up your story to the WSD theme... but no pressure.

Please enjoy our photos from the hybrid evening: Adrian, Alan, David, Dharma and Jackie.
